Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Fun Fact #1: Apparently at the age of 16, St. Patrick was kidnapped by Irish pirates and made to work as a slave caring for animals. He was trapped there for 6 years before he was able to escape and go back to his family in Britain.

Fun Fact #2: While working as a missionary in Ireland, St. Patrick used the shamrock to help explain how the Holy Trinity worked in the Christian faith. There was one leaf for each part: Father, Son & Holy Spirit. These leaves are also sometimes thought to represent Faith, Hope, and Love, and when a fourth leaf is present, that’s where the Luck comes in!

It was a chilly night, and the family gathered around the fireplace. Francois was sitting in his comfy arm chair, reading his newspaper. His trusty beagle, Sir Tug, was curled up at his feet beside his cat, Mr. Snuffles, who was softly purring. Sir Tug was always a very comfortable pillow during Mr. Snuffles’ naptime. Sir Tug’s snoring could barely be heard over the roar of the fire, and the warmth filled the room with a glow. It certainly wasn’t chilly inside.
