I could not resist participating in this adorable #dtiys by @marlitkraus because, well, a bunny! 🐰 I thought it would be perfect to share with you on Valentine’s day! I hope you are able to celebrate the day by doing something for someone you love to show them how much your care… even if that someone is you! (A day to pamper yourself, anyone?) January was cold… 🥶 That left me lots of time to curl up on the couch with my iPad and draw! I was able to participate in a few #dtiys challenge by some of my favourite artists! I love these challenges so much because it’s an opportunity to study someone else’s style and work on translating their subject matter in a way that makes it your own. Have I landed on a consistent style yet? I don’t know if I’m quite there, but I will continue exploring and having fun playing with the way I draw in the meantime. It’s all part of the journey, and I’m so thankful you are here to be a part of it! ☺️

After months of diligently drawing only on my iPad, I felt the urge to pull out my pens, my pencil crayons, and my paints. This piece was so much fun to do. Oh, how I’ve missed working traditionally… I hope I will make time to do this more often.
But who are they calling, I wonder…
If only my breakfast food could dance into my bedroom and feed me each morning.
It was a chilly night, and the family gathered around the fireplace. Francois was sitting in his comfy arm chair, reading his newspaper. His trusty beagle, Sir Tug, was curled up at his feet beside his cat, Mr. Snuffles, who was softly purring. Sir Tug was always a very comfortable pillow during Mr. Snuffles’ naptime. Sir Tug’s snoring could barely be heard over the roar of the fire, and the warmth filled the room with a glow. It certainly wasn’t chilly inside.
